Mental Health Tribunal Rules

The Mental Health Tribunal Rules regulate certain aspects of the practice and procedure of the Tribunal. They cover the form, required content and manner of lodging applications to the Tribunal, requirements for specific application types as well as the required contents for clinical reports which must be given to the Tribunal. They also cover the documents to be kept on the Tribunal’s register of proceedings and how the Tribunal calculates the duration of Orders.
